Awake Windows Guide

We get asked about naps a lot. The most common question is when should my baby/ toddler nap? There is no 'one size fits all' answer, but our Awake Windows guide can help give you an idea if you are struggling with where to start.

Usually the first window after waking is the shortest, with the longest stretch of awake time in the period before bed.

There is a lot of room for movement here- some babies need more sleep than others, while others may need less. Most importantly, you should check your child's sleep cues for more reassurance on this, but we are happy to give you this general guide of awake times before your child may need a nap.
